I am getting Thrombosed Hemorroid Excision, how much pain will I be feeling? ?

I lift weights a lot and have been out of commission for almost 3 weeks since getting my external hemorrhoid. It just gets inflamed when I exercise and start lifting weights. So I stopped all that. The doctor suggested excision, which cutting into my 2 hemorrhoids to relieve the inflamation. I have no pain in the hemorrhoids. I am asking if anyone has had experience with the procedure of excision. Also how much pain will I feel in surgery and after surgery.

I had surgery to remove hemorrhoids, but that was a long time ago. There was moderate pain. The most pain was when you take your first BM after wards–it feels like you are passing glass.

Nowadays most doctors will tie off the hemorrhoid and not perform surgery. Did your doctor discuss this procedure with you? They use a band–tie it around the hemorrhoid and with time the area breaks off.

It is far less painful. There is no cutting. It has a high success rate.
